The Path to Peace Begins in the Classroom

We will present materials, films and sample lessons – you will learn why our mission is crucial to the future of the Middle East.  To foster negotiations between Israel and the Palestinians we must end the teaching of violence and terrorism in the schools.

Reforming UNRWA at Lincoln Square Synagogue on March 24

In theory, UNRWA (United Nations Relief and Works Agency) is a wonderful, kind, uncontroversial organization. Who could argue with its stated mission that it is a relief and human development agency? The reality is far less benign, though. Over the decades, UNRWA has perpetuated the Palestinian refuge crisis, it has misappropriated hundreds of millions of dollars of well-intended donations and has contributed to the violence in Gaza and the West Bank.

Come, learn more about this issue -- and what is being done about it -- on Sunday, March 24 at 11:00 am at Lincoln Square Synagogue in a program titled Reforming UNRWA – The Master Initiative.

Brooke Goldstein, Founder and Executive Director, Lawfare Project

The speaker at the October, 2018 meeting of the Caucus of Jewish NGOs was Brooke Goldstein. The meeting was hosted by Hadassah on October 24, 2018.

Brooke emphasized UNRWA in her talk because UNRWA is a major focus of the JNGOs and of her own organization. Her approach is to advocate for Palestinian children who have the right to an incitement free education.
